6-week Beginner Wheel Throwing Pottery Course

Welcome to ceramics! Our beginner's course is the perfect place to start your journey with clay and learn all about the ancient art of wheel throwing.

Whether it's your first time making with clay or you're looking to practice your skills - this class will give you all the fundamentals on the wheel. In this six-week course (one 2.5 hour class per week) you will learn centering on the wheel, throwing cylinder and bowl forms, and how to turn and trim the bases of your work. You will also get to explore a range of finishing techniques including underglaze colours, tissue transfers and class glazes to decorate your pieces! At the end of the course you will have your very own glazed pots and bowls to take home and treasure.

This course is ideal for beginners or those who have completed a beginners courses already and want to hone their skills. No previous experience is required. Each class will have a maximum of 8 students.

Cancellation & Refund Policy:

• Cancellations made 14 days or more prior to the commencement of your course are eligible for a full refund.
• Cancellations made between 7 and 13 days prior to the commencement date will be eligible for a refund less a 5% administration fee.
• Cancellations made within 7 days of the commencement date are non-refundable, and the full course fee will be forfeited.

If you are unable to attend within the applicable cancellation period, we encourage you to arrange for a friend or family member to attend in your place. Please contact us as soon as possible with their details so we can update the booking accordingly.
