Group Visits to Bendigo Pottery

Welcome to Bendigo Pottery, Australia’s Oldest Working Pottery. Operating continuously since 1858, Australia’s oldest working pottery offers a range of options for larger groups. CLOSED ON TUESDAYS AS OF 11TH JULY 2023.

Whether travelling by bus or individual vehicles, groups of 10 or more can enjoy discounted entry to the Interpretive Museum, formal demonstrations by our skilled potters, multiple options for the cafe, plus great shopping. Booking is advisable.

The Interpretive Museum

A self guided tour with an introduction by pottery staff. Closer guidance is available to limited ability groups and those with limited English language. Group entry price is $6.00. (normally $8.00 for adults, $7.00 concession). Included in the group entry to the Museum we offer a formal demonstration of wheel throwing by one of our experienced potters.

A special pre order menu for groups means efficient timing for lunch or morning and afternoon teas, allowing more time to spend exploring the Bendigo Pottery site. Please call us on 03 5448 4404 or email for group menu to info@bendigopottery.com.au.

For corporate groups, pre wedding fun or educational groups we offer a half hour wheel throwing experience at $18.00 per person. This can be alternated with a hand building challenge for extra fun. The cafe can also organise platters both hot and cold. A wheel throwing experience may be paired with group wine tasting with Glenwillow Wines. Call 5448 4404 for more details.

Antiques and Collectibles Centre

A trip down memory lane with both nostalgic items and unique collectibles, there are over 40 individual dealers.

We can accommodate small and large groups of all ages. Our staff can assist with any inquiry you may have and with bookings. As a planning guide, please allow about 30-40 minutes for potters demonstration and Interpretive Museum, 30 minutes for shopping and 30 minutes for café (when pre booking).
