Retail Assistant 

Bendigo Pottery is seeking the appointment of a new Retail team member to assist in the weekend day to day Retail operations of our Epsom Complex. Duties will include:


Job Title:

Customer Service - Retail Support (Permanent – Part Time Position)

Casual: 

Wk 1: Mon, Wed, Thur (10 – 4pm) Total hrs = 16.5 hrs
Wk 2: Mon, Wed, Thur (10 - 4pm) Total hrs = 16.5 hrs
6 day fortnight – Total 33 hours
(Possible additional hours may be offered through the week, during school holidays and for staff away ill)

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Serving Customers at Register
  • Selling Ceramic Finished Product
  • Managing Opening and End of day till operations
  • Answering Phone enquiries
  • Price and label Stock when required
  • Cleaning in Education Space and preparing tables
  • Stocktake
  • Assisting in Mail Room for packing of wholesale products

Successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Great presentation and excellent communication & customer service sales skills
  • Very important to be able to work autonomously and as part of a team 
  • Be punctual, reliable and trustworthy
  • Ability to Problem Solve
  • Be highly motivated, show initiative and enthusiasm

Required Skills / Training

  • Experience in Retail/Sales Customer Service / Homewares
  • Some experience with Clay making/Ceramics would be an advantage (but not
    necessary)
