School Holiday ActivitiesSCHOOL HOLIDAY ACTIVITIESFamily Fun at Bendigo PotteryDecorating Workshops - "BE AN ARTIST"Our artist will show you a range of techniques to paint a plate or mug and then we will glaze and fire so you can use them every day. The workshop takes about 1 hour. Pieces can be collected at around 2-3 weeks or we can arrange postage. Make great gifts for Birthdays and Christmas or treasured family memories. Open to all ages. Weekdays during School Holidays only. Next workshops Monday 2nd January to Friday 6th January and Monday 9th January to Friday 13th January, 2012. Four classes each day at 10.30am, 12pm, 2pm and 3.30pm. Cost is $16 pp and includes all materials and firing. Bookings recommended! (max 10 per class) Wheel Throwing Lessons - "BE A POTTER"Under the guidance of our skilled potters you can create your own masterpiece on a potter's wheel. At the end of the lesson you can choose to have any or all of your pieces glazed and fired for $10 each. We can also arrange postage in about 2-3 weeks. Or take them home to dry and paint. Lessons are held every day of the week including weekends at the following times : 10am,11am,12pm,1.30pm,2.30pm,3.30pm Cost is $12 per half hour and a 1 hour lesson is $18 Hour lessons are at all times except 10am) . Bookings recommended! Optional glazing and firing at $10 per piece. Hands on Clay Play -At any time you can pick up a Clay Play Kit at the Sales Counter for $4.00. We supply tools, tables and protective aprons and shirts. Have fun in the potters area then take your creations home. Great Birthday Present as well. Available any time. Interpretive Museum - "BE AN EXPLORER"Imagine a theatre inside a kiln! Explore the 150 year history of Australia's oldest working pottery and find out about the many different ways we make the lovely ceramic pieces you see in our gallery. The experience includes displays, early film footage, soundscapes, theatre, and views into the current manufacturing areas. HOLIDAY COMPETITIONFollow a trail of discovery in the Museum these holidays and go in to the draw to win a special, very collectable ceramic Money Box. This money box has glazes that are similar to those of the late 1900s. The money box is a limited run.
